Join Stirling Andersen on Wednesday, 7th June from 7.15 am - 9.00 am to disseminate the handling of psychological claims in Life Insurance.

Stirling Andersen is hosting a Breakfast Networking Session on Wedensday, 7th June. We will be bringing together Claims and Rehabilitation Leaders and providing tangible methods to improve psychological claims management within Life Insurance.

With 1 in 5 Australian adults experiencing a mental health condition every year, mental health disorders impact the way a person thinks, feels and interacts with others. People with a mental illness are more likely to experience physical conditions, such as back or neck pain, asthma or heart trouble, compounding the difficulties they face. This creates a complex environment for the Claimant and for the Claims Assessor helping them get their lives back.

Our three industry expert speakers will navigate the complexities of such claims and emphasise the importance of understanding the claimants experiences.

Pieter Breytenbach from CommInsure boasts a successful career across the ANZ and South African Life Insurance markets. He will share mentods implemented in international markets to best manage psychological claims and will highlight key practices the Australian market could adopt.

Stephanie Vujacic and Louise Pitcherfrom  from IPAR will demonstrate, using a case study, the common challenges experienced by the Claimant and the Claims Assessor. Here we will discuss some practical strategies to overcome these challenges.

We are inviting Heads of Claims, Claims Team Leaders and Rehabilitation Leaders to our Breakfast! If you are interested in joining, please contact Pippa Morris on
